Sooooo...I was lucky enough to win this book in a giveaway. When I first entered, I didn't read the description well. I actually thought it'd be more of a supernatural book. I read a snippet comparing it to The Descendants....and I stupidly thought it was Disney's Descendants...not Hemmings' Descendants!
When I realized my mistake, I was very skeptical about reading it but decided to give it a chance either way. I went in not knowing what to expect or even what genre it was.
Throughout the whole book, I kept asking myself...WTF am I reading!?!? But the curiosity kept me going all the way until the end. And I was not disappointed! Huntley did a good job of keeping me from guessing what Ana's deal was until the last few chapters....or rather until the Peter road incident.
The truth about Nancy's past was a bit of a shocker as well. I thought Nancy was just a bored housewife...but she def has some skeletons in her closet!!
Overall I'm giving it 4 stars! And to everyone that's considering reading it...give it a shot! You might be pleasantly surprised! I'm glad I didn't let some negative reviews keep me from reading it 🤣
